A bunch of chapters - each centred on a particular clock and/or it’s inventor - spanning ancient Rome circa 263 BCE (sundial), to Osaca 1970 (plutonium clock). A blizzard of facts, often interesting, but falls into the trap of trying to make his subject more central to history than is the case.
